Tattoos within football society

Standard

A lot of footballers today have assembled a lot of tattoos which show there masculinity because it makes them look stronger and people will be afraid of them. It also shows they are over 18 because that is the legal age for people to get tattoos.

David Beckham has assembled a collection of tattoos and he personally stars in adverts which are his own product which makes young lads want to be like him because of all the attention he gets from girls and fame from his footballing days. He is like a stereotypical role model which people want to follow because of what he has achieved throughout his life.

Promoting products by doing a range of things which can boost sales by getting famous people to do such as advertising on a aeroplane magazine. if they are well known it could be very beneficial about selling a product

Wayne Rooney wine advert

Standard

Chilean wine advert may be representing the fact that there is morale issues into the way in which footballers are represented for example some ethnic minorities such as religion which oppose to the ideas of alcohol.

The other footballers within the advert Ryan Giggs and Patrice Evra are in the background and the minority of them say a couple of words before the main actor Wayne Rooney delivers a pathetic performance which was awful to watch.

the form of masculinity is shown as they all have stubble which indicates the representation of them coming to age. It would be morally wrong if a child was staring in the advert because it would most likely encourage under age drinking which the government are trying to cut down on.

4000 boots

Standard

A footballer from Gabon who plays in the french league currently is Pierre Emerick Aubameyang. He wore crystal boots which are equivalent to 4000 dollars in today society.

this type of stereotypes represent the wealth within footballers today as a lot of them are very wealthy and make a lot of money.

Masculinity within adverts

Standard

The idea which is final for me is how footballers are represented within adverts across the globe.this will let me explore a topic that I like as I am a keen football supporter. Footballers are represented within different ways from there tattoos to there face which could be admired by loads e.g. Messi is used on the front of FIFA football by EA sports.

Footballers may also be presented on magazines as heroes or as money wasters as one footballer had diamond studs on there boots.

Wayne rooney was in a Chilean wine advert which was (Diabolical). This type of acting shows the idea that footballers are not good for acting as they struggle to get into character.

Ideas

Standard

I have came up with several ideas and the one in which I think will be the greatest is

How male main characters are represented within 2 different movie genres?.

I have not came to a full decision but I am gathering research on different ideas before I make my final decision.

First blog

For my MS3 project i am still undecided but I am thinking of going down the line of representation or genre. I have a couple of ideas which I am considering but overall I am still coming to a decision.

I also am thinking of going down the roots of representation as I am better at describing and it may become obliged to do representation of someone in the media today compared to someone who was represented in the past
